SAMPE Europe Conference & Exhibition to take place in Belgium


Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE) Europe’s Conference & Exhibition 2016 will be held this year in Liege, Belgium from September 13th-15th at the PALAIS DES CONGRES.

The program consists of a broad range of lectures with the focus on advanced processing and materials engineering like 3D manufacturing, repair and automation as well as materials applications of thermoplastics, bio-materials and hybrids. The main markets covered are aerospace, space, automotive, construction, wind and solar energy. There will be more than 100 technical presentations and more than 30 companies will exhibit. In addition, during the conference, there are six excursions planned to manufacturing companies such as Asco Aero, CoExpair, Eurocarbon, Sabca, Sonaca, and R & D Centres like Centre Spatial de Liege and Sirris as part of the program.

A Pre-Conference Tutorial Program on Tuesday will also be held. Topics are structural health monitoring, wind, solar and tidal energy, repair and detection and additive manufacturing.
