ISIS: Mohamed Abrini helps British police battle Daesh attacks

Mohamed Abrini

PARIS and Brussels attacks suspect Mohamed Abrini – known as the “man in the hat” – has become the first ISIS supergrass to help UK cops foil terror plots. Abrini, who was filmed at Brussels airport with two suicide bombers responsible for the atrocity in March, has been blabbing to officers while being detained.

The 31-year-old from the Molenbeek district of the Belgian capital was arrested in April and later charged with participation in the activities of a terrorist group and terrorist murder.

But he later told investigators: “I didn’t want to do it – I would never hurt a fly.”

He was caught on CCTV at Brussels airport wearing a white jacket and hat moments before the men he was with blew themselves up, as part of a series of attacks that killed 32 people.
