Ardo is Business of the Year in Flanders

The global producer of vegetables, spices and frozen fruits, Ardo, was designated Flemish Business of the Year on Tuesday by the EY consultancy, De Tijd daily and the BNP Paribas Fortis bank.

The Ardo group comprises 21 companies in nine countries and a worldwide sales network. Strong growth achieved in recent years by the firm, located in Ardooie, resulted in 2017 in a gross turnover of one billion euros.

On Monday, the Easyfairs company from Brussels, specialized in organizing salons, was designated Business of the Year in Francophone Belgium, replacing Spadel.

The Scale-up of the Year title, which goes to the new company with the strongest growth potential, went to the Ontoforce firm in Flanders. Ontoforce, which has a staff of 27, developed technology that facilitates the management of complex data.

The Newpharma online pharmacy received the title of Scale-Up of the Year in the French-speaking part of the country.
