We recently reported that the Berlin-based Federal Association of eCommerce (BVOH) named almost 2,000 brands which operate restrictive trade practises in Europe. Now they want retailers to help present those results to Members of European Parliament and Members of European Commission.
On the 29th and 30th November 2016, Roundtable meetings will be held in Brussels with MEPs and EU Commissioners present. The BVOH would like to hear from you if you:
Sell online on eBay and maybe other channels,
and employ around 20 people or more in your company,
and have experienced in the category of sales restrictions by manufacturers and brands at least bans to sell on marketplaces such as eBay or others,
and as an effect of sales restrictions have a loss of sales or had to fire staff or see that manufacturers and brands intend to establish a controlled market in the future,
and your company is located in an EU country
The BVOH guarantee that any sensitive information given either to them or any members of the European Parliament/Commission will be held under highest confidentiality in order to safeguard you and your business.
They want to ensure that sellers from different European countries can participate in this event to show European politicians that sales restrictions pose a real threat to online retailers so costs of travel and accommodation will be reimbursed to ensure retailers can attend.
If you’d like to make your voice heard, email Anna at the BVOH with your contact details and they will initially contact you by telephone.
