Belfius earned 335 million euros in profit in the first half of 2018 (after taxes), the Bank said on Friday.
Belfius once again intends to give the Belgian authorities a temporary payment of 100 million euros, compared to 75 million euros in the first semester of 2017.
“The 2018 results show how financially stable Belfius is. Despite the persistent low interest and the volatile market, the bank has seen growth in practically every key area. This shows, once again, how valuable Belfius is to the Belgian economy”.
