Thor walrus visits Belgium, spotted in France

Walrus Thor seems to be doing a round of North Sea. A week ago the animal stayed at Neeltje Jans and rested on the dike near Westkapelle. Later, the walrus was spotted along the Belgian coast. This weekend he turned up in Port of the French city of Dieppe.

On Friday, the Port Master of Dieppe, a city in Normandy, saw him resting at the entrance to the port. According to the authorities, Thor still looked healthy. On Friday, the port was closed to allow him to rest, on Saturday he was gone again.
Walruses are not normally found in the North Sea. They live around the Arctic Circle.
