The Flemish government enters into an agreement with operators on a high-speed network

Flanders has entered into an agreement with telecom operators Proximus and Telenet to deploy a high-speed digital network in the region, the government of the Flemish government said on Monday.

The agreement is aimed at allowing Flemish businesses and households to be among world leaders in innovative digitalization.

The operators agreed to give the regional government guarantees with regard to bandwidth, coverage, opening and equitable prices. The Flemish Government, for its part, is to provide the conditions that will facilitate delivery on these commitments.
