Fire at Brussels Central station on Saturday morning

Brussels Central station opened again at 2pm. No more trains will be diverted, says SNCB spokesman Bart Crois.

Railway traffic was interrupted on Saturday morning after a fire started on a service train at Brussels Central. Trains were diverted to the West.

Two tracks were reopened at 10am, followed by two others, which meant more and more trains could take the new North-Midi junction.

They expected to catch up delays over the afternoon.
