Unemployment dropped again, this time by -4.4 %, in the Brussels Region in January, reducing the number of jobseekers to 91,877 -16.5%- the region’s public employment service, Actiris, announced on Monday.
Four years ago, the capital had 20,000 more unemployed persons than now, it said.
Youthful employment (under 25 years of age) went down for the 56th consecutive month, and is now 24.8%, a drop of 9.2% on an annual basis.
