More and more rich Belgians are moving to Switzerland and Luxemburg

There are currently 24,438 Belgians living in Luxemburg and 22,225 in Switzerland, according to Interior SPF figures published in L’Echo on Saturday.

That’s a 10% increase compared to 2014.

The paper said that while there is nothing to prove it, evidence suggests that they moved for tax reasons.

Alexandre Van Damme, the biggest AB InBev shareholder and the richest man in Belgium, moved to Switzerland this summer.
