Chelsea have made an offer in the region of £50m (€60m) to re-sign Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, according to reports in Italy.
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that the west London side have made a massive offer for the Belgium international.
The same story claims that should Chelsea sign Lukaku then Diego Costa could face an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge.
Antonio Conte completed his first signing as Chelsea manager earlier this month after the Blues completed a £34m deal for Lukaku’s Belgium team-mate Michy Batshuayi from Ligue 1 side Marseille.
The Chelsea manager then finalised a £30m deal to sign Leicester City’s title-winning midfielder N’Golo Kante from the Premier League champions at the weekend.
Conte was appointed as the new Blues manager earlier this year, although the Italian didn’t succeed Guus Hiddink until after the European championship.
The west London outfit finished in tenth place in the Premier League table last season after a disappointing defence of their top-flight crown.
Chelsea start the new season with a clash against bitter London rivals West Ham United on 15 August.
