Outstanding European Summit in Brussels on 30 June and 1 July 2019 

On Sunday 30 June and Monday 1 July 2019, ” a European Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the European Union will likely be held in Brussels at the buildings of the Council of the European Union, on the Rue de la Loi. A safety zone will be installed. Only authorized persons will be able to input this zone.

Limits of the safety zone?

— Traffic Team Schuman
— Rue Froissart, involving the Rue Belliard and the rond-point Schuman
— Rue de la Loi, involving the rond-point Schuman and also’Residence Palace’
— Rue Juste Lipse

Important remarks:

— Deliveries Won’t be possible
— Garbage luggage, bicycles and terraces Aren’t allowed inside the safety zone

Who is able to enter the safety zone?

With a vehicle:

— official delegations, with certification from the Council providers and/or police forces
— crisis solutions
— taxpayers with an accreditation of their police services (accessibility only through the Avenue d’Auderghem)

On foot:

— taxpayers registered inside the zone and also in possession of the ID card
— employees and shopkeepers in possession of the ID card and also a pass (delivered via their employer)
— individuals in possession of a pass and their Idcard

Where to get a’pass’?

Requests can be reached via www.polbru.be/eurotop and have to be shipped electronically to the police station of the European quarter of the Brussels Capital Ixelles police zone, Boulevard Clovis 10 — 1000 Brussels — 02 279 85 3-5. The passes will be available there from 25 June 2019.

Local traffic and parking

Certain streets will simply be accessible for neighborhood traffic (previously ground there will be a parking ban) on the:

— Rue Archimède involving the Rue Stévin and the rond-point Schuman

Parking will also be prohibited:

— in the safety zone
— at the roads with neighborhood visitors
— around the Chaussée d’Etterbeek, involving the Rue Belliard and the Rue Van Maerlant
— on Rue Van Maerlant
— on Rue Belliard, involving the Chaussée d’Etterbeek and the Avenue d’Auderghem
