Last Friday, on May 25, a new urban experience was launched in the heart of Brussels.
The experiment consists of a podium structure which is, on the one hand, an urban furniture where people can meet for a talk, to read a book, to relax, and on the other hand, a place where different events can be hosted throughout the summer.
The European Theater was officially opened today in the Leopold park with a debate around the activation of public spaces in the European Quarter. Participants were also invited to join a brainstorm to imagine and propose different activities and events that could happen on the European Theater this summer.
The urban experiment is a project of the non-profit association eQuama (European Quarter Area Management Association), developed with the design agency Vraiment Vraiment.
The project is made possible by the support of the Brussels Capital Region, the European Parliament, visit.brussels and Urbicoon.
