Brussels tries out machines for empty drinks cans

Consumers will be paid for each empty drinks can they place in designated machines under a project launched on Monday by the Brussels Region. The chief executive of Centrica, the owner of British Gas, received a 44% pay rise for 2018, despite a difficult year in which the company imposed two bill increases, warned on profits and announced thousands of job cuts.
