Nicky Degrendele just lost the gold in keirin to the European Cycling Champions in Glasgow. However, instead she took a silver medal. The race was won by Mathilde Gros from France. Degrendele had put her best foot forward in the first and second rounds, winning both races and going into the final as favourite. MP from the democratic Union, Ian Paisley faced the first parliamentary petition revocation, because it was introduced legislation to allow voters to oust unruly politicians.
