One Belgian executive out of five has been confronted with fraudulent practice during the last two years, reports a survey conducted by the EY consultancy agency of which L’Echo published the conclusions Thursday. Out of the 55 analyzed countries, only Ukraine (36%) and Kenya (26%) did worse than Belgium. With this 20% ratio, Belgium stands far above the 11% average. Murder of African prostitute triggers soul-searching in Brussels
Bianca Debaets, Junior Minister for equal opportunities in the Brussels regional government, criticized several of the mayors of Brussels with an important red-light districts in their municipalities. Ms Debaets urges greater co-operation between the City of Brussels, Schaarbeek and Sint-Joost following the murder of an African prostitute. “Each mayor is pursuing his own policies and there’s no global approach” she says.
