Brussels Airport acquires the Sheraton Airport Hotel

Brussels Airport Company (“BAC”) has signed an agreement to acquire Airhotel Belgium SPRL, the private limited company which owns the Sheraton hotel at Brussels Airport.

The airport company itself made the deal known on Wednesday in a communiqué.

The hotel, which is located immediately opposite the terminal building, has 294 bedrooms, 21 conference rooms with a maximum capacity of 1,500 people, a restaurant, a fitness centre and a car park.

Brussels Airport confirms that employees of the Sheraton hotel will be unaffected by the takeover, the price of which has not been disclosed. The hotel will continue to operate under the Sheraton brand. The communiqué further states that the conclusion of the transaction is still subject to the usual deal closure conditions, including European Commission approval.
